Today (or yesterday to be more precise) was a bittersweet day for sure. Saying goodbye to my family was extremely difficult and of course there was quite a bit of crying from both my mom and myself. The first plane ride wasn't bad, I don't think I had really fully realized what I was about to do, but once I was in Newark sitting down and waiting for my next plane it hit me and I was kinda freaking out at the gate :( I couldn't believe that I had agreed to leave home for four months and move to a place where I knew no one and couldn't even speak the language fully. All of that subsided though once I calmed down, but I am still feeling a bit homesick. Hopefully once I get busy and start getting into a routine (along with a good nights sleep) things will get better and I won't feel as homesick.
Yayyyyy!! You're there!!! I'm so happy and excited for you and this adventure you have embarked on!!! In a few days you'll forget all about us here in Texas, lol jk! Have a great few days, I can't wait to read about everything!! :) xoxo
